How you age is a reflection of how you take/took care of yourself. Self-care is the act of taking care of oneself physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially, socially and mentally. It is essential for maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Here are 30 life changing practices I use to better my lifestyle daily that are budget friendly. Try one per day until it becomes embedded in your life without question nor doubt.
- Get enough sleep; Create a start and end time; Set your reminder alarms
- Take breaks throughout your day; You are NOT a robot; Stop and rest
- Eat a healthy and balanced diet at least 80% of the time
- Stay hydrated with water, homemade all natural juices and smoothies
- Connect with your loved ones with a simple text, or call; Don't overthink it
- Practice gratitude; Don't take anything for granted; You are already blessed
- Spend time outside; You need fresh air, sunshine, nature, and peace
- Read a book one page at a time; Don't be pressured to finish in a week
- Take your time with a warm bubble bath, soak or shower, no rushing, and include aroma therapy with an essential oil diffuser, incense, or candle
- Listen to music that is healing to the soul
- Meditate; Stillness is the new success

- Go for a walk, run, or a workout outdoors
